As we head into the cooler months, now is the ideal time to protect yourself and your family against seasonal influenza.
Our GP Flu Clinics are open throughout May and June, with appointments available for patients aged 2 years and over.
Flu vaccination is recommended annually for everyone aged 6 months and over. In WA, free flu vaccines are available during May and June 2026 for eligible groups, including people aged 12–64 years who are not otherwise eligible under the National Immunisation Program.
Needle-Free FluMist® Available for Children.
We are also pleased to offer FluMist® nasal spray vaccination for eligible children in Western Australia.
FluMist® is a gentle, needle-free nasal spray flu vaccine designed to make vaccination easier and less stressful for children who may be anxious about needles.
Free FluMist® vaccination is available for children aged 2 to under 12 years.
Some children with certain medical conditions may still be recommended to receive the standard injectable flu vaccine instead. Our doctors and nursing team can advise which vaccine option is most appropriate for your child.

Why get vaccinated?
Influenza is more than just a common cold. It can cause serious illness, especially in young children, older adults, pregnant women, and people with chronic health conditions.
Vaccination can help:
Reduce your risk of catching influenza
Lessen the severity of illness if you do become unwell
Protect vulnerable family members and the wider community
Reduce the risk of complications and hospitalisation
