Appointment Booking
At View Street Medical, we are passionate about providing comprehensive specialist GP care. To ensure you doctor is able to thoroughly address your concern(s), please consider the following guide when booking your appointment:
Standard appointments (up to 15 minutes) - suitable for one main issue or two routine/non-complex issues (e.g. script for a regular medication and referral for an existing problem)
Long appointments (up to 30 minutes) are recommended for the following:

two or more concerns (please note that your GP may advise that further appointments may be required to adequately address multiple concerns)

Mental health (including Mental Health Care Plans, new psychiatry referrals)

GP care plans and reviews

Complex medical issues

Skin checks

6 week baby check

Travel consultations

Workers compensation
Please call reception to book the following appointment types:

Immunisations and other injection (prolia, desensitisation)

Wound care

Iron infusions

Contraceptive device procedures- Implanon NXT, IUD

Estrogen implant

Health assessments - 45-49 year old (once off), >75 year (annual), Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people (annual), people with intellectual disability (annual) - allow 1 hour (30 minutes with nurse, 30 minutes with your doctor)
Medicare rebates are not available for Telehealth appointments for patients who have not had a face to face consult in the last 12 months. Telehealth is not available for new patient appointments.
We also offer repeat scripts for regular medications (excluding S8 medications such as stimulants, opiates, benzodiazepines) and repeat referrals - please see the SCRIPTS & REFERRALS link at the top of the page.
Our S100 GPs accept new registrations for patients living with HIV. Please inform reception that you have been referred to View Street Medical for this purpose.

Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask you provide us with as much notice as possible, with a minimum of 2 hours notice, so that we can offer the appointment vacancy to another patient. Fees may apply for missed or cancelled appointments, please refer to our fees page.
Please note that EMAILS are not an accepted method for making, rescheduling or cancelling appointments. Please always call the practice.
After Hours & Home Visits
View Street Medical is now able to offer convenient early morning Telehealth consultations with one of our General Practitioner’s – Dr Rachel Forth.
This service will be available: Monday 6.00am-8.00am
Friday 6.00am-8.00am
To be eligible to claim a rebate, it is a Medicare requirement for the patient to have had a face to face/in person consult with a GP at the practice in the last 12 months.
These appointments will be privately billed. In the event that the patient needs a follow-up in person review, this may be arranged at the time of the Telehealth appointment.
Bookings with Dr Rachel Forth can be made online or alternatively call the practice and one or our reception team will be able to assist you with making a booking.
